戸塚区汲沢の鎮守として続く古社です。長い石段を上がって参拝するつくりが印象的で、村岡氏・鎌倉氏ゆかりの五柱を祀る、かなり珍しい神社です。地域の氏神であるだけでなく、平氏の祖神系譜と鎌倉権五郎景政信仰が重なっている点が、この神社ならではの強い個性です。
