梅田・曽根崎の総鎮守として崇敬を集める古社で、創建以来1300年余の歴史を伝える神社。正式名は露天神社ですが、近松門左衛門『曽根崎心中』の舞台として知られることから「お初天神」の名で親しまれています。都会のど真ん中にありながら、境内に入ると空気が変わる感覚があり、縁結びの印象が強い一方で、少彦名大神・大己貴大神・菅原道真公などを祀るため、病気平癒、商売繁盛、学問など幅広いご神徳でも知られます。梅田エリアから徒歩圏で寄りやすく、大阪らしい街歩きとあわせて立ち寄りやすい神社です。

Tsuyuten Shrine, widely known as Ohatsu Tenjin, is a historic shrine in Osaka’s Umeda/Sonezaki area with a history of more than 1,300 years. It is famous as the setting of the classic love tragedy Sonezaki Shinju and is dedicated to deities including Sukunahikona no Okami and Sugawara no Michizane. Despite being in the middle of the city, it offers a calm shrine atmosphere and is an easy cultural stop within walking distance of Higashi-Umeda, Umeda, Kitashinchi, and Osaka Station.
