寶登山神社（宝登山神社）／Hodosan Shrine

長瀞町の宝登山麓に鎮座する、秩父三社の一社。日本武尊が東国平定の折、山火事を山犬に助けられた伝承から「火止山＝ほどさん」と名づけられたと伝わります。火防・盗難除け・諸難除けの守護神として知られ、社殿彫刻、奥宮、ロープウェイ、長瀞観光とあわせて巡りやすい山岳信仰の神社です。
